Quiz: Tonight is quiz night at the Pavilion in Burwash Common. Teams of six players are welcome to go along and join in the fun which begins at 8pm. Children: The Sunday club and Pathfinders will meet at the Rectory on Sunday morning from 9.45am to 11am. The Sunday Club is for children aged 3 to 9, (2 if accompanied by and adult. The Pathfinders is for young people from year 6 upwards. The two groups meet for worship and sharing timeand then in two groups for activities and discussion. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each moth, joining family at church for the end of the service on the 4th of the month. Call Celia Merchant on 01435 882360 to find out more.

Hide AdAfter 8: The ladies of the After 8 group which meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the Pavilion at Burwash Common will host their annual quiz evening with Rotherfield’s Thursday Club. They will all supply a plate of finger food and the clubs mix with each other at the tables to make a lot of fun. The club are approaching their 25th anniversary and are wondering if anyone knows in which year the original Young Wives group changed it’s name to The After Eight Club. NSY: The members of the Not So Young club will be meeting on Thursday at the Burwash Village hall from 2.15pm. The members of this lively group for the over 60’s enjoy a wide variety of interesting talks and fun afternoons. It is open to men and women and is a great way of meeting old and making new friends. The group will be making the final arrangements for the fund raising event which takes place on the Saturday.
Sale & Tea: The annual Autumn Sale and come to tea event for the Burwash Not so Young club will take place in the Burwash village hall on Saturday 17th October from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. There will be produce, a raffle, tombola, books, bric a brac, crafts and more. Entrance is £2 and includes tea. They would be delighted to see you there.
Flower club: The burwash and district flower arrangement club will be holding a craft morning. from 10am to 12 noon in the Burwash village hall. It will be lead by Mrs Maggie Hayes, all materials will be supplied and it will cost you £10 to join in. You can book a place by calling Jean Plummer on 01435 883483
