MP Greg opens new Northiam post office
As part of Post Office plans to modernise the network and extend opening hours for customers, Northiam Post Office has moved to Jempsons “Local” convenience store, Stonecourt Mews in Northiam.
Post Office services are offered from a till at the retail counter alongside retail transaction.

Hide AdThe new post office is open from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 8pm.
Gregory Barker MP said: “I welcomed the news that Northiam Post Office was to move to bright new modern premises. I am delighted to be here today to congratulate Stephen Jempson on his hard work opening the branch and to formally declare the new Northiam Post Office open.
“The post office is vital to the community around Northiam. I’m sure the new improved office and significantly longer opening hours will be warmly welcomed by all my constituents, as they now have more choice when to visit.”
Post Office operator Stephen Jempson said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to open the new branch and am very pleased to be officially launching it for the community. I hope our customers like it and I’d like to thank Gregory Barker for taking time from his busy schedule to come here today.

Martine Munby, Post Office Senior Stakeholder Manager, said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents around Northiam and I am confident this new modern post office will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
