Concert a memorable treat
ON Saturday, March 5 I paid a short visit with my wife to Bexhill to see my cousin Sheila Wilson and her husband, Jerry.
As fortune would have it, Sheila invited us to an 80th birthday concert given by the renowned classical pianist Peter Katin at St Augustine‘s Church.
The event was very well attended and we met some charming people. Peter’s playing was as good as it had been several years ago when I saw him at London’s Wigmore Hall.

Hide AdThe strains of Debussy’s beautiful Clair de Lune still sound in my mind and, to my way of thinking, Peter must be considered, by now, to be a “national treasure”.
With many thanks to the organisers of this memorable treat.
