The first family of mallard ducklings at WWT Arundel Wetland Centre have hatched out on Thursday (Feb 20).

The ducklings were noticed by WWT staff during the end of day walk to close the reserve on Thursday evening. The warmer weather this winter has given the ducklings an early birthday this year.

In 2013 the spring was late and cold, delaying many ducklings from hatching until mid- March.
