Cllr Rickett asked some pertinent questions, but it seems, got inadequate answers. Surely residents are entitled to know what they are likely to get for their money.
There are many examples where £10,000s have been spent on a JR, with little or no benefit to the sponsors. Since the JR is being pushed by a group of HD Councillors (from the North) who are both district and parish councillors, one wonders if they might be pursuing a motion that they lost in the council chamber – to defeat the NH development. If so, then perhaps they should declare an interest when they come to speak at NHPC meetings?
