Southern Rail said a tree came down on the line between the two stations earlier this morning. The tracks were closed as Network Rail engineers worked to remove the tree, causing trains to be cancelled and delayed. A Southern spokesman said the tree had now been removed but services were still subject to delays. Disruption is expected to last until 1pm.
