A St Leonards artist has captured Madness' sold-out performance on Hasting Pier in a stunning painting done on an iPad.

Danny Mooney’s ‘Madness on the pier’ is being auctioned on eBay in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The artist painted it on his iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil before having it printed as a one-off, unframed picture.

For the last three years, Danny has been making at least one iPad painting every day, in addition to his studio work, for a new exhibition.

Danny said St Michael’s Hospice needs help as it costs £10,000 a day to run, and requires £1m after the devastating fire.

The auction started today (Tuesday, May 24) with a starting price of £90, and it will end on bank holiday Monday (May 30).
