Wick man is airlifted to hospital following weekend crash
A PEDESTRIAN suffered a broken leg when he was hit by a car on Saturday night (July 21), police have said today,
The 32-year-old man from Wick was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after it was initially feared that he had suffered serious head injuries in the collision with a silver Volkswagen Passat on the A259 Worthing Road at around 11.40pm.
It is thought that he had just got out of a taxi on the south side of the road.

Hide AdThe driver of the Passat, a 45-year-old woman from Wick was uninjured. The road was closed until just before 2.30am.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Op Banstead.
