Two buildings destroyed in Rogate blaze

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the rear of Parsonage Estate in Rogate at 5.36pm on yesterday (Wednesday, May 5).
Two buildings were completely destroyed by the fire, which was believed to have started accidentally.
All crews left the scene after 8.30pm.

Hide AdA spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of domestic outbuildings on fire to the rear of properties on Parsonage Estate in Rogate at 5.36pm on Wednesday evening.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised fire engines from Midhurst and Petworth to the scene along with a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Liphook.
“Upon arrival crews found three outbuildings well alight and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly brought the fire under control using two high pressure hose reels, a main jet and a fog nail.
"They remained on scene turning over and damping down and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no further hotspots.

Hide Ad“Two outbuildings were completely destroyed by fire, while the third was partially damaged by fire. The fire is believed to be of accidental origin. The last crew booked away from the incident shortly after 8.30pm.”
