The Liverpool manager has been complaining about injuries and a hectic fixture schedule ahead of the match and even said 'give Brighton the three points now' before their midweek Champions League loss to Atalanta.
The Reds are already without a number of first-team regulars, and Klopp made a further five changes against the Italians to the side that beat Leicester in the Premier League last Sunday.
Liverpool were clearly saving their big hitters for the Brighton match and will also hope a few of his injured players can return.

1. Naby Keita
The midfielder limped off during the 3-0 win and against Leicester with a hamstring injury. Missed the match against Atalanta and is currently being assessed ahead of Brighton
2. Jordan Henderson
Sustained a thigh injury during England's 2-0 loss in Belgium and missed the 3-0 win against Leicester. Sat out against Atalanta and Liverpool physios will be working on their skipper to have him ready for Brighton
3. Xherdan Shaqiri
Picked up a muscle problem while on international duty with Switzerland. Has trained sporadically with the Reds but unable to complete a full session and missed the Leicester and Atlanta matches. Klopp was coy on his progress on Wednesday but Brighton may be too soon for the attacker
4. Joe Gomez
Underwent successful surgery to fix a tendon in his left knee after suffering the injury during training with England. The defender will likely the miss a significant part of this season. “It's a tough one," said Klopp. "But the surgery was successful, so he is now already recovering."
