Their four-wicket home defeat to Cuckfield was their third loss from five games with the other two having been abandoned.
Hurst captain Stuart Barber felt his side missed a clear opportunity to secure their maiden win as they failed to defend 142 having been put into bat.

Hide AdBarber (33) and fellow opener Tom Haynes put on 75 for the first wicket, until both were out along with Mike Burroughs and Dan Doram as four wickets fell for no further runs.
Josh Hayward (7-53) continued to do the damage with the ball as only Scott Stratton (26), Andy Barr (21) and Shane West (13) really troubled the scorers.
Cuckfield dangerman Jordan Silk then scored an unbeaten 53 having been put down with the score on 90-5 as the visitors eased home with 145-6 in the 35th over.
Barber said: “It could have gone either way, I really felt it could have. Don’t get me wrong at the end of the game we were so disappointed.

We definitely did not capitalise on a couple of mistakes from Jordan Silk, which really cost us in the end. We dropped a catch at him which was pretty straight forward, that’s one big mistake to mark against someone of his calibre.
“If we had got him out, the two batsmen we could have really attacked and gone for it. We were 75-0 and then 75-4, if things weren’t going our way at all, there was a run our and a debatable decision, so they certainly weren’t on Saturday.
“A score of 140, I felt we could have defended so it was a bit frustrating as I really felt we could have got something out of it.”
